Biblical Belly Breakthrough And The Shepherd’s Diet System Reviews

The Shepherd’s Diet (also sometimes called the Biblical Belly Breakthrough) is a weight loss program inspired by Biblical texts. Here’s our Shepherd’s Diet review.

What is Biblical Belly Breakthrough?

Biblical Belly Breakthrough is a 7-step system that promises to completely transform anyone’s body by quickly and easily burning fat and keeping it off.

Written by certified nutritionist Kristina Wilds, Biblical Belly Breakthrough claims to treat the root cause of being overweight through simple nutritional tweaks. Like what?

All we’re told is that you’ll learn how to identify healthy fats—or what Kristina calls “His Healthy Healing Fats”—and implement them into your diet through step-by-step meal prep. As a result, your body will be able to effortlessly burn fat, even while you’re asleep.

Specifically, she claims the information in The Shepherd’s Diet System can help you melt 80 pounds or more of stubborn fat from your body.

Kristina also tells us you’ll have more energy and vitality, feel happier, and experience better mental clarity and greater motivation. And all of this without surgery, diet pills, adding exercise, or counting a single calorie.

Shepherd’s Diet Features: How Does It Work?

The Shepherd’s Diet works by promoting anyone adhering to the diet program to change the types of food they eat.

Processed foods are substituted out for “healthy” fats, and overall the amount of carbohydrates in a person’s diet is diminished while the amount of protein and healthy fats is increased.

The diet itself is supposedly inspired by Biblical texts and is meant to approximate the kind of diet the figures of the Bible would have had in ancient times.

This approach does indeed play rather fast and loose with Biblical standards, considering that one of the chosen food sources is bacon – a pig product that is prescribed by the Book of Leviticus, one of the main books of the Old Testament.

While it’s true that Christians don’t keep the Kosher laws delineated by the Old Testament, it’s important to point out that the figures depicted in the Bible would have been Jewish – including Jesus Christ himself. It is a moderate inconsistency that doesn’t seem to be addressed by the creator of Shepherd’s Diet.

Shepherd’s Diet Creator

The Shepherd’s Diet is supposedly the product of a woman named Kristina Wilds, a certified nutritionist who lost her husband at an early age.

This motivated her to create the Shepherd’s Diet program, which then “saved” her sister from the same fate of her husband by making her healthier and slimmer.

However, investigations into who owns the website itself have proven fruitless, as the site was registered anonymously, making it impossible to verify if Wilds does indeed own the site.

Additionally, the payment processor used for sales of the Shepherd’s Diet is ClickBank, a service used quite often by internet marketers; ClickBank doesn’t provide information about the companies for which they process payments.

In the end, this means that there’s no real way of identifying who’s behind the Shepherd’s Diet. This tends to hurt the weight loss program’s credibility.

So who is Kristina Wilds? The woman representing herself as Wilds also maintains a website where she supposedly provides information about her day job as a music teacher.

This site claims she lives in Littleton, Colorado with her son and her fiancé, and the website is registered directly to Wilds, even listing her residential address.

None of this information is available on the Shepherd’s Diet site. The only things in common are the name and the profile picture used to depict Wilds.

What do you get with Shepherd’s Diet?

The Shepherd’s Diet consists of several digital e-books:

  • The Shepherd’s Diet core book – the main product, as it contains all the base information on “holy fats” and how to change your diet to become more in line with Biblical figures and what the author feels they would have eaten, based on close readings of the Old and New Testaments.
  • The “What Would Jesus Eat” Grocery Field Guide – a comprehensive guide that purports to take all the guesswork out of grocery shopping. This guide supposedly shows you exactly which foods to buy and which foods to avoid, designed to make grocery store trips painless and easy.
  • “The Moses Secret” Fat Loss Protocol – a guide on how to lose weight by fasting “the right way” – i.e. the way Moses did it when he wandered the desert with the Jewish people for 40 years. The guide claims to provide you the physical and spiritual benefits of a 40-day fast “in just hours.”
  • Prayer Warrior Anti-Stress Guide – information on how to pray to destroy the “evil forces” that affect people’s lives. Effective prayer reduces stress and thus makes it easier to lose weight and be healthy, according to the program.
  • The Fat Burning Furnace Nutrients Report – a guide on how to use nutritional supplements effectively in order to receive the nutrients you need to support your weight loss goals. These nutrients are no longer available in the foods we eat, according to the Shepherd’s Diet, making supplementation necessary.

Shepherd’s Diet Pricing

The Biblical Belly Breakthrough (aka The Shepherd’s Diet System) is priced at $47, with a claimed retail price of $390.

As soon as your payment is received, you’ll be able to download a copy of the e-book for viewing on your computer, your smartphone, or tablet. However, you will not receive a hard copy of the book.

In addition, you’ll receive four bonus reports:

  • What Would Jesus Eat Grocery Field Guide
  • “The Moses Secret” Fat Loss Protocol
  • Prayer Warrior Anti-Stress Guide
  • Fat Burning Furnace Nutrients Report

Shepherd’s Diet Reviews: What Do Customers Have to Say?

There are dozens of glowing reviews on the Shepherd’s Diet website itself. Sadly these are not exactly unbiased, so it’s important to find independent third-party websites for more accurate user reviews.

When third-party reviews are taken into account, the picture painted is not nearly as positive.

There’s a handful of reviews on Amazon for the core book – an e-book which is currently retailing for a whopping $130 – and nearly every reviewer claims that the information within the book is factually inaccurate.

Other independent review sites have also given the system poor marks, claiming that the information revealed is simply a run-of-the-mill ketogenic diet, similar to the Atkins Diet and other similar low-carb, high-fat, moderate-protein diets.

Few Customer Reviews

There are no acknowledgments, references, or footnotes for quotes used in the book except the spattered bible verses. When I contacted support about a particular quote (endorsing her diet by a dead person), they said they would get back to me “shortly.” That was nine days ago. Still no answer.

Also, I’m trying to follow recipes that either don’t work or the instructions are incomplete. Specifically the cream cheese pancakes, pg 17 of “72 hour Quick Start” and Yummy Brownies, pg 54 of the “14 Day Easy Meal Plans.”

I must say I have lost all confidence in Kristina Wild’s credibility.

Paid for items, received downloads. Now I am having my card charged every few days for smaller amounts and not receiving anything. I did not authorize these charges, be wary. I am not recommending this at all. And I see no biblical references at all.

This is nothing but the Atkins diet with a bunch of biblical bullcrap mixed in. A diet that preys on people that are very religious. A disgusting human being in my opinion.

Pros:

  • None in my opinion.

Cons:

  • Completely Historically Inaccurate – the ingredients recommended by the program are not historically accurate when it comes to what individuals living in the Middle-East would have eaten.

Jews, for instance, wouldn’t have eaten bacon or other pork products, and many of the tropical fruits and vegetables recommended by the program would have been unavailable to anyone living in the Middle-East due to the climate.

  • Customer Service Problems – Many individuals have complained about very poor customer service, especially when it comes to trying to get a refund after being dissatisfied with the product.

Claims of not having emails returned or experiencing busy signals when calling directly have resulted in many pointing their fingers and labeling the product a scam.

  • Vastly Overpriced, May Have Hidden Costs – The core book on Amazon.com is vastly overpriced at $130.

Purchasing from the Shepherd’s Diet site provides both a massive discount and a money-back guarantee, but some customers have said there are hidden costs to unlock the full potential of the program, upsells that try to weasel more money out of a customer who thought they purchased the entire program.

Shepherd’s Diet Conclusion

The Shepherd’s Diet isn’t a revolutionary new weight loss program that’s been designed specifically for spiritually-minded individuals looking to follow in the footsteps of the originators of their faith.

The information included in the system is factually incorrect and seems to only be a masked version of other weight loss programs already in existence that have just been given a new, fresh coat of paint and features some buzzwords designed to make those of the Christian faith trust its contents implicitly.

This is a rather egregious affront to anyone who does ascribe to Christianity that was expecting to receive historically and Biblically accurate information on what Biblical figures would have eaten.

It’s incredibly insulting to be told to eat pork products when such types of food would have been expressly banned in the diets of figures like Moses, Solomon, David, and yes, even Jesus, as most scholars agree that Jesus Christ would have practiced the Jewish faith during his lifetime.

This is probably why, by all appearances, Kristina Wilds isn’t a real person and is instead just a pseudonym.

It’s also probably why “Kristina” didn’t reveal any information contained in Biblical Belly Breakthrough. Again, we didn’t download it ourselves but based on customer feedback for nearly identical products, we might have covered everything you need to start eating fewer unhealthy fats a couple of sections above.

And even if The Shepherd’s Diet System does deliver valuable information for its nearly $50 price tag, you definitely won’t be able to constantly fill up on the decadent, icing-filled desserts, sizzling steaks, and ice-cold milkshakes frequently shown in the e-book’s promotional video.

Our opinion? If you’re looking to eat more healthy fats and fewer unhealthy fats, speaking with your physician could provide a much better value for your money than ordering Biblical Belly Breakthrough.
